At Be Luminous Yoga, we see community as a powerful force for improving people’s lives. While we can make a difference just by being kind, it is also important to put our resources to work in tangible ways.

To do this, Be Luminous Yoga commits to sponsor local non-profits that are doing their part to build a more mindful, just world. Learn how the people in these community organizations are making a difference every day, and support them by making a donation through the studio or directly.

In our first year, we will partner with six local non-profits doing important work in our community. Through our partnership, we will offer:

The use of Be Luminous Yoga to hold a fundraiser.

Exposure on our website and in the studio.

A roundup option for clients to donate a little extra with each purchase.

An Introductory Series for the organization’s auction or raffle.

A free class to everyone on the organization’s membership roll.

Our current Community Alliance is Yoga Behind Bars. They take yoga and meditation classes to incarcerated youth and adults in Washington State as well as those at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Their mission is to share tools of self-awareness, healing and transformation with their students.

We will hold our first ever Practice with Purpose on May 21st. The event will include:
Yoga Practice with Scott Francis $20 suggested donation (free to members)
Wine & Inspiration - hear from Yoga Behind Bars teachers and students, and learn more about the organization. Be prepared to be inspired! $20 donation for this portion
Enjoy the whole evening for $30.
100% of proceeds go to Yoga Behind Bars
