With over 14 years of experience as an Ashtanga-Vinyasa teacher and a dedicated daily practice, Lydia is a joyful yogi and Registered Yoga Therapist (RYT).  She approaches yoga practice and teaching with commitment to the intelligence of maintaining steady breath and proper alignment in yoga asana to create a limber, vigorous mind and body. Lydia studied the physiological benefits of yoga asana as a researcher with the University of Virginia, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  She earned her PhD in Research Psychology from UVA, and brings training in anatomy and physiology, as well as her understanding of the importance of creating happiness, contentment, and building positive relationships, to her fun and playful classes.
